BEREA, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers headed to the unexpectedly frozen tundra of Northeast Ohio to take on the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets. After a significant snowfall forced the match indoors to the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse, the Tigers dropped an 8-1 decision to Baldwin Wallace.

A scheduled match against Marietta, also to be played at BW, was cancelled. The Tigers left Cleveland with a 4-13 overall record.

The Yellow Jackets won two of the three doubles matches to gain the upper hand. Wittenberg picked up its lone point of the match at the No. 2 position with a 9-7 win by freshmen Carli Milano (Beavercreek, Ohio/Carroll) and Sarah Frisch (Crescent Springs, Ky./Notre Dame).

Baldwin Wallace secured the team victory with a singles sweep.

The Tigers will return to action with league matches at national powerhouses Denison and DePauw in the next week.
