GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Wittenberg Tigers returned to action for the first time on outdoor courts in the spring season, losing to 17th-ranked DePauw 9-0.
The loss dropped Wittenberg to 1-2 on the season, heading into a match against NCAA Division I neighbor Wright State on March 21.
Wittenberg managed just one game in three matches in the doubles competition, as senior Meghan Depew (Downingtown, Pa./West) and senior Lexi Garza (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) dropped an 8-1 decision. Garza won the lone game in six singles matches at the No. 4 position.
