Allison Reed returned to her alma mater as part of the Tiger swimming and diving coaching staff prior to the 2013-14 season.

Most recently, Reed served as an assistant coach for the USA Swimming Team at Lifetime Fitness in Johns Creek, Ga., and Old Savannah Square Thunderbolts Swim Team in her hometown of Duluth, Ga. She coached swimmers ranging in age from six to 18 who competed at all skill levels, and she designed specialized training programs for all age groups, strokes and techniques. Reed also served as a Masters Swim Coach, providing structured workouts, stroke and technique instruction, and skills assessments for athletes of all ages.

Prior to returning full-time to the pool deck, Reed worked as a Quality Control Administrator for Assurance Forensic Accounting in Alpharetta, Ga., for two years.

A Dean's List student at Wittenberg, Reed earned four varsity letters as a swimmer for the Tigers, culminating in a year as a team captain in 2008-09. She was active on campus, working as a tour guide for the Office of Admission, representing her team in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and serving as an orientation assistant during New Student Days for three years. She also was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and multiple honors societies, including Chi Alpha Sigma, Order of Omega, Ivy Ring and Alpha Lambda Delta.

Reed, whose grandfather Allen Koppenhaver was an English professor at Wittenberg for nearly three decades before his passing in 1991, earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Wittenberg in 2009. She earned a master of science in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2010.
