SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg university's women's and men's swimming & diving teams have claimed Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association for the 2017 spring semester.
Coach Will Bernhardt's Tigers were among a record 720 teams to achieve the distinction by recording at least a 3.0 grade point average during the semester.
The women posted a GPA of 3.28, while the men posted a 3.03.
Wittenberg's women's team has recorded CSCAA Scholar All-America honors every year since 2004.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
