ADA, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers earned split of a double-dual at Ohio Northern with a 149.5-137.5 win over the host Polar Bears and a 191-103 loss to North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Oberlin.

The split left Wittenberg with a 4-2 dual meet record, heading into a three-week break from competition before the Transylvania Invitational.

In addition to a pair of third-place finishes in the meet's two relay events, a host of Tigers turned in top-three performances in the meet. Leading the way were a pair of freshmen as Nicole McCollum (Fort Myers, Fla./Estero) touched the wall first in the 1000-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, and Kaitlyn Black (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) topped the field in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.

Freshman Samantha Petruzzi (Medina, Ohio/Medina) placed second in the 200-yard butterfly and 100-yard butterfly, while junior Madeline Kraft (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) took second in the 200-yard breaststroke. Third-place finishes were supplied by freshman Courtney Speakman (Springfield, Ohio/Tecumseh) in the 1000-yard freestyle, freshman Kelsey Gregory in the 200-yard butterfly, junior Dani Lacy (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) in the 100-yard freestyle, sophomore Emily Faas (Mason, Ohio/Mason) in the 100-yard butterfly, and sophomore Amy Schulz (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) in three different events: the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard Individual Medley.
