Former Wright State University women's soccer standout Mary Beth Young joined the Wittenberg coaching staff as an assistant in women's soccer in 2010.

Wittenberg is Young's first collegiate commission following six years as an assistant at Bellbrook High School in Bellbrook, Ohio. Since 2004, she has served as a head coach with the Ohio Galaxies Futbol Club and the Centerville United Soccer Club.

Young's playing resume includes four years as a letterwinner with Wright State, where she earned the school's first-ever Horizon League Newcomer of the Year award. In addition to four years of all-conference honors, including first-team awards in 2002, 2003 and 2004, Young received most valuable player recognition from the Raiders in 2004. Her name continues to stand in the top 10 in career assists and games started in the school's record books. Prior to Wright State, Young played for the Blast Football Club and the W League in Columbus.

Young graduated from Wright State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish and in 2005 with a master's in education. She is currently a Spanish teacher at Bellbrook, where she also serves as an academic progress advisor, Spanish Club advisor, and as an assistant track and field coach.
