Springfield, OH—The women's soccer team took to Edwards-Maurer Field to take on the Eagles of Asbury Wednesday. The Tigers dominated the offensive side of the field with 14 shots and 6 corner kicks for the game. Alex Hill led the teams in shots. The Tigers were able to play both goal keepers Katie Wisniewski and Carly Shiplett. Wisniewski faced zero shots on goal for 62 minutes, and Shiplett had 3 saves for the night.
The team had great momentum heading into halftime with 6 shots and 3 corner kicks for the first half. The Tigers were finally able to add to the scoreboard with a goal from senior Paige Kaiser in the 49th minute. The goal was assisted by Brooke Mullis off a corner kick for the Tigers. The Eagles were able to tie up the game in the 72nd minute off a similar corner kick situation as the Tigers goal to wrap up the game.
