Meadville, PA - With a laser from the top of the box with less than two minutes remaining in the game, junior Brooke Peters helped send her Tigers to the post season with a 1-0 victory over the Allegheny Gators Saturday afternoon. Wittenberg traveled to Meadville, Pennsylvania for their final regular season matchup pushing for their third NCAC playoff bid in the last four years, which would be their 16th in NCAC history. With the 2020 NCAC tournament being canceled, Wittenberg has consistently made the playoffs since 2012. Under head coach Katie Robinson, the Tigers close their regular season at 8-8-1 before heading to Denison to take on the Big Red in the NCAC semifinals Tuesday, November 2 at 5 p.m.

Battling the Gators, it was a match between offenses. The Red and White were led by a host of Tigers, with nine players taking a shot to the goal, senior Maria Miller with four shots, two between the posts. Miller played her final regular match as an outside midfielder while being a key supporter for the strong back line carried by sophomore Emma Secrest. Goalkeeper Emma Schewe had sticky gloves, stepping off her goal line making seven saves. Schewe finishes her regular season with 82 saves, putting her save percentage at .812.

The Tigers will be heading into the NCAC playoffs sitting in the 4th seed spot, taking on top seed Denison.
