Wooster, OH -- Saturday afternoon, the Wittenberg Tigers traveled to Wooster to take on the Fighting Scots, where they fell 4-2. The Tigers were led by freshmen Sophia Grossman and Lindsey Magoteaux who each had a goal. Carrying the ball for the Tigers was freshman Abby Sphar who had both assists in the evening. Not to be outdone, Wittenberg totaled 20 shots against Wooster, placing 11 on frame. Junior Brooke Peters lead the offensive attack with four shots, putting one on target. The Tigers shared the attacking effort between 11 players with seven players taking two or more shots for the Red and White.

Wittenberg took seven corner kicks in the match, but the Wooster defense kept the Tigers from capitalizing on their piece opportunities. It was a physical game, as Wittenberg had four fouls, and Wooster collecting 11 during the game. These two teams have been battling since their first match in 1986, and have played each other now 34 times since then. 

The Tigers will be back on the road against Denison Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m.
