Tigers Bounce Back with Big Victory

Cincinnati, OH -- The Wittenberg Tigers leave Mount St. Joseph with a victory of 2-1 Thursday evening. The Tigers started the pressure early, coming out strong in the first half taking advantage of the four shots on goal, capitalizing on two of those shots. The Tigers got passed the goal keeper twice within three minutes of each other. The first goal coming at the 17th minute from Junior Amy Bidwill, assisted by Senior Alix SteeleBidwell kept herself in the action, assisting Freshman Hannah Heald on the next goal just three minutes later in the first half at minute 20. 

The Tigers held off Mount St. Joseph for the rest of the half and all but the the last 10 minutes of the game, when they scored in the 80th minute. With a strong defense, Bidwill and fellow forward Junior Brooke Peters combined for a total of six shots, with Heald leading the way with three total shots.

The Tigers will be bringing the competition home on Saturday versus Grove City at Edwards-Maurer Field at 1 p.m.
