Tigers Come Away With First Win

Wilmington, OH -- The Wittenberg Tigers collected their first win on the road at Wilmington College, 2-1. This win came after a tough loss to 2-0 loss, with freshman Hannah Heald being the main impact player. Heald ended up making the most noise in tonight's matchup up against the Quakers of Wilmington College.

The Tigers struck first in the 15th minute with a through ball coming from senior Maria Miller to freshman Hannah Heald who took four shots on goal for the night. The Tigers held off Wilmington College until the Quakers had a successful header off a corner kick in the 47th minute. The Tigers tallied in goal number two at 69 minutes with junior Brooke Peters getting into the action sending the ball over to senior Alix Steele

The Tigers were able to capitalize on two of their 13 shots on goal with senior Emma Shewe saving four of five goals from the Quakers. Heald led the team in shots on goal, leading the team with one goal and four shots on goal in total.

Wittenberg is hosting their first home game of the season Satuday September 11 at 4 p.m. against the Cardinals of Otterbein.
