KALAMAZOO, Mi -- The Tigers headed North for their second match of season, facing off against the Hornets of Kalamazoo College. This was a defensive game, as both teams were held to zero after the first half. However, Kalamazoo struck first almost two minutes into the second half, pulling the momentum in their direction as the Hornets took this game 2-0.

Despite totaling 11 shots on goal in the second half, the Tigers were not able to close the deal. The Hornets took advantage of their accuracy, collecting only 5 shots on goal, two going into the back of net. Kalamazoo was not given many chances, but in the 79th minute were able to sneak one past Senior goaltender Emma Shewe for a second and final goal of the game.

Shaking off the rust, the Wittenberg Tigers will be back in action Saturday September 4 staying in Michigan to take on Hope at 3:30 pm in Holland, Michigan.
