Women's Soccer Projected Fourth In NCAC Preseason Poll

Springfield, OH -- Wittenberg University Women's Soccer team returns to action, coming off a 2019 season where the Tigers earned an 8-7-2 record, going 5-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. After finishing their season on a three-game win streak, the Tigers had their 2020 season pushed to spring 2021 where they played four exhibition games. This gave the women a small season to get them rolling into their traditional fall season. The Tigers are led by Head Coach Katie Robinson who will be stepping into her fifth season with an overall record of 23-23-9.

Wittenberg returns six seniors including, Sydney Artis, Maria Miller, Clare Neltner, Emma Schewe, Alix Steele and Emily Wile. Wile and Steele who combined for 10 of 26 goals in 2019 with Wile being named 2019 First Team all NCAC. Wittenberg also looks forward to the return of Brooke Peters who tallied five goals and three assists in 2019 as a freshman, earning All-NCAC Newcomer of the Year. In the net Emma Schewe will be leading the back for her first full season having only played six games in 2019, saving six and allowing two goals. The Tigers open their season against the Polar Bears on Wednesday, September 1, at Ohio Northern University at 7:00 PM.

The Tigers open the season on the road, taking on the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern University on Wednesday, September 1 at 7:00 PM. Wittenberg makes their home debut on Saturday, September 11 at 4:00 PM, hosting the Otterbein Cardinals.
