Tigers Welcome Hess As Newest Assistant Coach

Springfield, OH – Wittenberg women's soccer head coach Katie Robinson welcomes Josh Hess as the newest assistant coach to the Tiger staff ahead of the 2021 season. Hess joins the Wittenberg women's program having spent the past seven seasons at the helm of the Mount St. Joseph University women's team in Cincinnati.

During his tenure with the Lions, Josh led the team to a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title during the 2018-19 season which was the Lion's first conference championship in 10 years. During his time at MSJ the program accumulated five consecutive HCAC tournament appearances, including two HCAC Tournament finals appearances, one HCAC championship, one NCAA tournament appearance.

At the club level, he currently works for Cincinnati West and coaches the G08 CWSC Academy Elite team and serves as the club's Technical Director.

Josh holds his USSF A Senior, NSCAA Premier, USSF National Youth License, and CPR/First Aid (American Heart Association). In addition, he is involved in youth soccer coaching education with the USSF.

Coach Hess played collegially at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and at Fredonia State University. He has a bachelor of art's degree in Sports Medicine from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, and a master's degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.

Josh lives in Centerville with his partner Sacha and their daughters Samara & Haarlow.
