What is your favorite memory from being a student-athlete at Wittenberg?

Minute to win it team bonding during pre-season every year!

What do you love most about being a Wittenberg Tiger?

I love having the unique experience of being able to pursue my academic goals and be involved in other on-campus organizations while playing the sport I love.

Outside of Athletics, who is the one campus staff or faculty member that had the most impact on you during your time at Wittenberg?

I really look up to Dr. Battle. You don't get to see very many black women in academia doing the things she does, and because of her, I chose to pursue a minor in African & the Diaspora Studies.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

Enjoy your time at Witt because it goes by fast. A lot will change over four years so embrace your hardships and cherish your friendships and experiences.

Why should a High School Prospect choose Wittenberg?

Although we have incredible athletic programs and staff,

Wittenberg has a lot more to offer than just sports. There are countless organizations on campus to become involved while maintaining a feasible schedule. On top of that, there are other opportunities such as studying abroad and conducting independent research studies. Since Witt is a smaller school, the class sizes are smaller which allows you to connect with your professors on a more personable level. Having mentioned those things, if you pull together your resources that are at your disposal you will be putting yourself in a positions to be very successful at Witt and in life.

After graduation, how will you embrace the school's motto "Having Light, We Pass it on to Others"?

Hopefully, I will be accepted into the Peace Corps where I can use the knowledge, skills, and experiences from Witt to pass my light.

Outside of athletics, Dr. Chan has had the most impact on me during my time at Wittenberg. I have had a class with her at least once a semester and loved it. She has really opened my eyes to all of the opportunities my major can offer after college. She is inspiring and very kind-hearted. She has made each year memorable and encouraged me to pursue teaching myself.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

The team will become your family. They are an amazing support system and will always be there for you. Lean on your teammates and be the person that you would want in hard times.

Why should a High School Prospect choose Wittenberg?

A high school prospect should choose Wittenberg because of the small-knit community. Everyone is so friendly here and it is easy to develop relationships with other students and faculty.

After graduation, how will you embrace the school's motto "Having Light, We Pass it on to Others"?

I will embrace the school's motto after graduation by using my experience at Wittenberg to help others. I hope teaching English abroad and being an ESL teacher will impact others the way my professors and role models here have impacted me.

Outside of Athletics, who is the one campus staff or faculty member that had the most impact on you during your time at Wittenberg?

Dr. Collier! He has always made me feel like I was an intelligent student and has motivated me to work hard for the things I wanted to achieve. He's given me a lot of hope and confidence, and I will always be grateful to him for that.

Don't let anyone tell you what your talents are or what your skill level is. You are more in control of your success than what others lead you to believe.

I plan to continue my education and soon work in cardio rehab, which will be a really direct way to help and interact with others.

What is your favorite memory from being a student-athlete at Wittenberg?

Scoring the game-winning goal on Dennison's field in overtime, knocking them out of the tournament and the NCAAs.

What do you love most about being a Wittenberg Tiger?

I love the sense of community that surrounds the athletic department.  There is always a sense of camaraderie amongst the trainers and athletes that is the best.

Outside of Athletics, who is the one campus staff or faculty member that had the most impact on you during your time at Wittenberg?

Kristen Collier has been my mentor since the beginning of my time here.  Whenever I meet with her, she takes the time to ask me how I'm doing with everything in my life and it's been such a blessing to be able to get her insight and help through some tough challenges I've faced.  She has been wonderful at guiding me through my community service hours and other endeavors; my time at Wittenberg would have been drastically different without her support.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

Be positive and keep an open mind.  Athletics is a winding road of ups and downs; that's what makes sports so fun.  Positivity towards your coaches, trainers, and teammates will allow for your experience to be the best it could possibly be.

Why should a High School Prospect choose Wittenberg?

Wittenberg is a home in every sense of the word.  When you're here, you are greeted with a smile and everyone is more than willing to help you in any way they can.  Wittenberg has provided the most wonderful athletics department I could have imagined for my college years.

After graduation, how will you embrace the school's motto "Having Light, We Pass it on to Others"?

After graduation, I will continue to serve my community in any way possible in order to continue passing my light onto others.

What is your favorite memory from being a student-athlete at Wittenberg?

My favorite memory is all of the pre-game locker room dancing. Everyone would really get into all of the song and really hype each other up. Also, on the way home on the bus or in the locker room after winning a game was always fun. We would all celebrate, and it was such a good feeling.

What do you love most about being a Wittenberg Tiger?

The community you get to be a part of, no matter what sport you play.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

Don't take your time here for granted. Really indulge yourself in the Wittenberg experience.

Why should a High School Prospect choose Wittenberg?

Wittenberg has really great academic programs that get you into the place after college. We have a strong alumni connection in the work field and we have great facilities and a staff that will work with you to help prepare you for the future. We also offer a friendly and one of a kind community not offered on many campuses.

After graduation, how will you embrace the school's motto "Having Light, We Pass it on to Others"?

After college, I hope to attend graduate school where I will study to get my doctorate in Physical Therapy. With this, I hope to always pass my light onto others whether it be a future patient of mine or someone I can just give advice to.
