Women's Soccer Collects OCSA All-Ohio Accolades

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg women's soccer team collected Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio honors this week. A trio of Tigers were named to the OCSA All-Ohio team, while two Wittenberg Tigers were recognized for their efforts put forth in the classroom.

Emily Wile added to her growing list of accolades from the 2019 season, having earned First Team All-NCAC honors. Wile tabbed five goals including three game-winners in her sophomore season in the Red and White, taking 24 shots while starting in all 17 games for the Tigers. Wile also claimed United Soccer Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region honors for the first time in her career.

The NCAC Newcomer of the Year Brooke Peters took Third Team OCSA All-Ohio Honors in her first season with the Tigers. Peters led the Tigers with 13 points on the season, scoring five goals with three assists, tallying 24 shots on goal. Peters was also named Second Team All-NCAC at the conclusion of the 2019 campaign.

Cassidy Webber joins Peters on the OCSA All-Ohio Third Team after their first season with the Wittenberg Tigers. The Hilliard, OH native placed 12 shots on goal from the backline, earning All-NCAC Honorable Mention.

Kaitlyn Krieg made her way back to the All-NCAC list in 2019, collecting Honorable Mention honors. Krieg was named to the OCSA Academic All-Ohio team earning a 3.4 GPA in Marketing.

Emma Thacker earned Second Team OCSA Academic All-Ohio honors with a 3.6 GPA, majoring in Data Science.
