Tigers Drop Gators At Home

Springfield, OH- The Tiger's headed into the game sitting in the fifth spot int he NCAC standings, facing off against the Allegheny Gators from Edwards-Maurer Field for their last regular-season conference game. Both teams were physical in the start of the first half and fast-paced through the midfield. Wittenberg had good opportunities in the first few minutes of the game but were not able to score until the end of the first half at 38:38.

Wittenberg's Maria Miller was able to maneuver the ball around Allegheny defense and pass it off to Emily Wile who scored from the 20-yard line to bring the Tigers up 1-0 before the half. The Tigers came out hot in the second half with a goal at the start from Maddie Smith off of an assist from Brooke Peters. Peters was back in the action at 12:21 left in the second half with another goal for the Tigers off of an assist from Kaitlyn Krieg. Senior goalkeeper, Kelly Corbin recorded 4 saves while Tiger defense was able to keep Allegheny to 4 shots.

The Tigers end their regular season with an overall record of 8-7-2 and 5-3 in conference.
