Tigers Fall To Wooster At Home

Springfield, OH – It was a hard-fought battle for Wittenberg women's soccer on Saturday afternoon, falling to the College of Wooster 1-0 in an NCAC showdown. Wittenberg tallied 15 shots on the day, placing seven shots on goal. The Red and White had seven corner kick chances on the day. The scoring chances came early and often for Wittenberg, with Emily Wile putting a shot up for the Red and White within the first two minutes of the action. Bailey Hurley added a shot on frame just moments later, forcing the Wooster keeper to make her first save of the game. Wittenberg kept the pressure up throughout the game, as the Wooster counterattack put the Scots up 1-0 in the 57th minute. Grace Nation, Cassidy Webberand Kaitlyn Krieg each tallied three shots for the Red and White on the day. Webber placed two shots on frame for the Tigers.
