Alliance, OH- The Tigers were on the road at Mount Union for their season opener in a non-conference game. With Wittenberg's Kelly Corbin and Emma Schewe splitting time in the net the Tigers were able to save four of Mount Unions shots on goal.
Brooke Peters started things off for Wittenberg in the first five minutes of the contest with an assist from Kaitlyn Krieg. Minutes later Emily Wile was able to add a tally to the board scoring unassisted. Mount Unions Brittney McCauley was about to get one up on the board with an assist from Lauren Beech.
When asked about the game Head Coach, Katie Robinson said "overall we feel very good about the team's performance as a whole. We struggled to settle into things early in the first half but the team responded well to the adjustments made at halftime and shifted the momentum in the second. I'm very proud of the intensity and work rate we saw today and ready to go again tomorrow."
