Tigers Fall to Wooster in NCAC Finals

Wooster, Ohio - The Tigers arrived at Wooster for the NCAC Championship match-up after stunning #25 Denison 1-0 in Granville. Wittenberg was unable to prevail, tripped up by the Fighting Scots' 4-0 performance. The red and white have made it to the NCAC Championship match the past two years, however has not seen Wooster on the field since a 1-0 victory in Springfield in 2008. 

Missy Bernhardt delivered the lone shot-on-goal of the afternoon, having a share in the five total shots by the women's soccer team. Saturday marked the defender's 10th shot attempt of the season. Kelly Corbin came away with the loss, however recorded seven-plus saves for the ninth time this season.

Women's soccer finished their 2018 campaign 6-9-4 after a 3-2-3 NCAC season. The ladies proved to be strong on home ground at Edwards-Maurer Field through the season, sporting a 4-2-2 record. The Tigers have scored 16 goals since August.
