Women's Soccer Takes Down Hiram 3-0

Hiram, Ohio – The Wittenberg women's soccer team closed out the 2017 regular season with a 3-0 road win over the Terriers of Hiram College on Saturday afternoon. Winning their second straight game in shutout fashion, this is the seventh time the Tigers have kept a clean sheet for the duration of a match. Jordyn Wright started the scoring off just nine minutes into the game, placing her shot just out of reach of the Hiram keeper off of the Emily Thomas assist. Wittenberg closes out the season a 6-6-3 and 5-3 in NCAC play. The Tigers have once again qualified for the NCAC Tournament for the sixth consecutive season, as this marks their seventh trip in the last eight years.

GAME BREAKDOWN

  • Kaitlyn Krieg tallied the final goal of the first half for Wittenberg, putting away the Stephanie Angle assist to give Witt the 2-0 lead at the break.
