Women's Soccer Signs Seven for 2017
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Women's Soccer team and head coach Katie Robinson welcomes seven new faces to the family for the 2017 season as part of this year's 2017 recruiting class.
Carly Stang
  • A Hilliard, Ohio native, Stang will graduate from Hilliard Bradley High School in 2017, after spending her first three years at Bishop Watterson, where she was named a Team Captain as a freshman. Carly had a standout season her Senior year earning Second-Team All-State and was selected as a participant for the All-Star game. Carly plays for Club Ohio Green out of Dublin Ohio, a team who has been recognized atop the Ohio South State League and State Cup the past few seasons.
  • Aside from the soccer field, Carly has proved to be a successful student and was named to both Honor Roll and Honors Plus.
  • Carly is the daughter of James and Tammy Stang, and has two sisters; Jenna and Riley.

 

Kristin Stein, 
  • A Centerville High School graduate, Stein joins the Tigers in 2017. Kristin has been a member of the Girls Soccer program since her freshman year where she spent the past two seasons playing Varsity. She was named a Captain both her sophomore and senior years and was named to Special mention GWOC her junior Year. After missing her Senior High School season due to injury, Kristin is eager to get back on the field for the Tigers. Stein also plays club soccer for Warren County Elite G98 under Head Coach Bob Downs. Stein has helped leader her teams to Ohio South State League Regular Season Championships as well as a second place finish in US Youth State Cup.
  • Outside of soccer, Kristin is a member of the National Honor Society and received Scholar-Athlete Awards.
  • Kristin is the daughter of Todd and Judy Stein, and has one brother, Andrew.

 

Kaitlyn Krieg 
  • Krieg joins the Tigers from Denver, Colorado where she will graduate from Denver South this Spring. Throughout her high school career Kaitlyn has played both Varsity Basketball and Soccer earning herself fourletters in each respective sport. Krieg was a First Team All-Conference Recipient while holding the title of first place in points and goals in Denver Public Schools and sitting in second place for Goals Scored in Division 4A in Colorado. Among her many accomplishments, Krieg was named Captain her sophomore to senior seasons.
  • Kaitlyn is a member of the Colorado Rush Nero team where she has helped the team accomplish a second place finish in the President's Cup as well as a third Place finish in the Division I league.
  • Kaitlyn is the daughter of Jim and Lisa Krieg, and has a sister, Rebekah and a brother, Phillip.

 

Stephanie Angle 
  • A Midfielder from Springfield, Ohio, Stephanie will graduate from Northwestern High School in May and has spent the past four years with the Varsity soccer team. In her freshman year, Angle helped her team reach the District Finals before earning herself many accolades over the next three years. Some of these accolades are; 3rd team All Miami Valley North 2014-2015, honorable mention Central Buckeye Conference 2014, 1st team All-Conference Central Buckeye Conference 2015-2016, led conference in assists 2015, team captain 2016, team offensive MVP 2016, District Finalists 2013-2014, Springfield News Sun Athlete of the Week 2016 and Miami Valley Senior All-Star Division 3 2016.
  • Outside of Soccer, Angle was named a Jan Van Gorder Scholar, National Honor Society member, All-A Honor Roll, New Carlisle Rotary Student of the Month, and ranked 2nd in class
  • Stephanie is the daughter of Roger and Tammi Angle, and has one brother, Joseph

 

Jasmine Evans 
  • Evans joins the Tigers after finshing off a stellar career at Wyoming High School, in Wyoming, Ohio. A four year letterwinner for Wyoming, Evans was named 1st team all CHL her sophomore and senior years, and 1st Team all Southwest Division II those same years. As a senior, Evans was named a team captain, and a senior All-Star Game seletion. Jasmine is also a member of Cincinnati United Premier club program.
  • Jasmine is the daughter of Rhonda and Jeffrey Evan, and has a sister, Naomi and a brother, Jeffrey.

 

Jordan Harvey 
  • Harvey joins the Tigers after graduating from Reading high School in Cincinnati, Ohio. A letterwinner in soccer, basketball and softball, Harvey has earned recognition during her career that includes Honorbale Mention All Cincinnati Hill League, Offensive MVP, and Best Offensive Player. Harvey is also a member of Kolping club soccer team, and a member of the honor roll and Cincinati Hills League Scholar Athlete.
  • Jordan is the daughter of Kim and Jeff Harvey, and has thre siblings.

 

Lindsey Kroeger 
  • Kroeger, a 2017 Roger Bacon graduate, joins the Tigers after a standout career on the field. A varsity captain, and a Star Soccer Club team captain, the Cincinnati, Ohio native also ran track for Roger Bacon. Kroeger was also selected as a All-Ohio Academic pick during her high school career. 
  • Lindsey is the daughter of Lori and Kevin Kroeger and has two sisters, Kylie and McKenzie, and one brother, Zak.
