Tigers and Quakers Draw after 2OT Match

WILMINGTON, Ohio—Coming off of a big win against the number ten team in the nation, the Wittenberg Tigers women's soccer program traveled to Wilmington on Wednesday night to take on OAC foe Wilmington. It took two overtimes for the two teams to call it a night, and after the marathon game the score stood just as it had started earlier in the night, 0-0. The Tigers had their opportunities, producing 14 total shots, including 7 on goal, while the Tiger defense was stifling, holding the Quakers to just six total shots on the night. The tie brings the Tigers 2016 campaign to an even 1-1-1, while the Quakers move to 0-1-2. Wittenberg returns to action against another OAC team, as the Tigers travel up interstate 70 to Columbus to take on Capital University on September 10. Kickoff for the non-conference matchup is set for 1:00PM.
