SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Ninety minutes of soccer did nothing to settle things between Wittenberg and Case Western. Just 1:06 into overtime, the Tigers came up with a clutch sequence that secured a 1-0 win and capped a perfect weekend.

Junior Tobie Weston (Worthington, Ohio/Worthington Christian) drilled a shot from the top of the Case Western penalty area that was initially parried away by Spartans' goalkeeper Abbey Smith. Senior Kayla Murphy (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins) timed her back-post run perfectly to knock home the game-winner and send home the sun-soaked crowd happy.

The win evened the Tigers' record at 3-3-1, while Case Western fell to 3-2.

The Spartans held a 19-13 advantage in shots, and the teams split eight corner kick opportunities right down the middle. Smith was credited with six saves in the game, while Wittenberg freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Lorko (Fairview Park, Ohio/Fairview) played a superb game, making 12 saves.

Lorko got plenty of help from her defensive unit, backstopped in the center by junior Mary Clare Yerke (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and senior Erin Rowell (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Twp.), both of whom played the full 91:06.
