Wittenberg Records Fourth Consecutive Shutout Win Over Rose-Hulman

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - For the second game this year, junior goalkeeper Jordan Bamberger (Solon, Ohio) saw playing time on Sunday against Rose-Hulman. Unlike the first game, this time she gets a statline which is part of a solid goalkeeper's record, combining with senior goalie Megan O'Rourke (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) to stop five shots on goal.

This strong performance from the duo came just a day after the Tiger defense allowed no shots on goal and made life pretty easy for the Wittenberg goalies. Against Rose-Hulman, the two preserved a 3-0 Wittenberg shutout, and kept a streak alive at four consecutive shutouts.

Wittenberg's sideline became a revolving door in the second half, as the Tigers' commanding lead from the first period held solid through the second. In all, 14 players contributed from the bench, on top of the 11 starters.

Scoring goals for the Tigers were freshman Margaret Amorello (Sutton, Mass./Worcester Academy), junior Suzanne Medwid (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and junior Corey Shubitowski (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson). Assists came from senior Amanda Farrell (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) and sophomore Emily Murray (Petoskey, Mich./Petoskey).
