Wittenberg Ties Rose-Hulman in Battle of Unbeatens

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The youthful Wittenberg Tigers once again proved they have the mettle to play with quality collegiate teams, this time stepping away from their tour of the Ohio Athletic Conference to finish with a 0-0 tie against Rose-Hulman.

The tie left Wittenberg with a 3-0-2 record on the still-young season, while Rose-Hulman's mark moved to 2-0-1. It was the first game the Tigers have played against a non-OAC foe as they prep for what looks to be another tough tour through their own conference, the North Coast Athletic.

The Tigers dominated much of the action, at least statistically, outshooting their hosts 18-7 and attempting 12 corner kicks to just three for Rose-Hulman. But despite the fact that nine of those Wittenberg shots were put on net, RHIT's defense was true to the task.

On the other end, Tiger goalkeeper Meghan O'Rourke was stellar again, recording three saves in posting her second shutout of the season and her budding collegiate career.
