Shana Ryan

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio--- Junior defender Shana Ryan (London, Ohio/London) earned several honors for her outstanding performance both on the field and in the classroom for the Tigers. Ryan earned second team All-Ohio honors for her performance on the field and first team Academic All-Ohio honors for her outstanding work in the classroom.

Ryan, a co-captain the past two seasons, recorded one goal for the Tigers and led the team in assists with four. She also earned first team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors this season.

A standout for the women¹s soccer team the past three years, Ryan was named the 1997 NCAC Newcomer of the Year and earned second team All-Ohio honors that same year. She was a second team All-NCAC selection in 1998.

The Tigers, under the leadership of first year head coach Fran Kulas, finished the season with a 7-11-1 overall record and a 4-4 finish in the conference.
