After spending two years as a player for the Wittenberg University women's lacrosse team, senior Sarah Zane has stepped into a coach's spot. This year marks Zane's first as an assistant for Head Coach Kati Robbins and the Tigers. Zane was Wittenberg's starting goalie last spring, earning two varsity letters in her time as an athlete.

A graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School near Columbus, Ohio, Zane is a political science major and sociology minor, and is currently interning for Governor Ted Strickland's scheduling office in Columbus. Previously, Zane served as a media relations intern for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America in Washington D.C. during the fall of 2006. In the summer of 2006, Zane also studied abroad with Wittenberg in Lesotho, Africa. On the trip, Zane assisted with Habitat for Humanity and worked for AIDS orphanages.

This year, Zane is charged with assisting Head Coach Robbins during all practices and games, and providing instruction in defensive and goalkeeping strategies.
