Tigers Celebrate Seniors in Match-up against Oberlin

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg hosted the Yeowomen of Oberlin in the Tigers final home game of the year. Prior to the match-up, Wittenberg celebrated their class of 2023 which includes Mya Wolfe, Cecilia Critchfield, Katie Wadds, and Hannah Feder.

Highlights- Wittenberg was able to score in all four quarters, with their highest scoring period coming in the first. The Red & White put six on the board, being led by Mya Wolfe with a hattrick. Also scoring for the Tigers were Cecilia Critchfield, Jessica Flick, and Grace Hehman. Wittenberg's six goals were not a match for Oberlin and the Tigers fell with a 15-6 score.

In goal for the Tigers was Sidney Sheridan. Sheridan saw 25 shots, saving 10 of those to bring her season total to 112 saves. Defensively, Wittenberg picked up 25 ground balls and caused nine Yeowomen turnovers. Katie Wadds led the Tigers defense with four caused turnovers and three ground balls. Wadds, currently stands at number four in the NCAA for caused turnovers per game with an average of 3.64 per game.

Up Next: Wittenberg will round out their season on Tuesday the 25th on the road against DePauw. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
