Tigers Start Win Streak in Hanover

Hanover, IN- Wittenberg headed to Hanover College to take on the Panthers in one of their final non-conference match-ups. The Tigers were able to put up 22 goals to take down the Panthers 22-6 for their second win in a row on the season.

Highlights- Wittenberg posted 22 goals with 10 of those goals being assisted, the most assists on the season. The Tigers were led offensively by Grace Hehman with six goals on the day, followed by Mya Wolfe with five of her own. Also scoring for Wittenberg were Anna Roller (3), Cecilia Critchfield, Alyssa Burnside, Katie Wadds (2), Jessica Flick (4). Assisting the Tiger goals were Roller, Wolfe, Wadds, Flick (3), Hannah Feder, Maren Raymond, and Grace Hehman. As a team the Red & White dominated in draw controls with 20, 36 ground balls, 50% in free position shots, and went 18-21 in clears.

Splitting time in goal for the Tigers were Sidney Sheridan and Gabrielle Weckerly. The pair had a total of 5 saves, facing 11 shots on the day. Defensively, Wittenberg was led by Alyssa Burnside with nine ground balls and along with causing six Hanover turnovers.

Wittenberg were able to put seven on the board in both the first and second quarter to head into the locker room with a comfortable 14-4 lead before adding eight more in the second half to clench their second win of the season.
