Wittenberg Women's Lacrosse Announces Five Incoming Tigers

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg women's lacrosse head coach, Margaret Wolford, announced her incoming class. The class of 2025 is made up of five members, spanning across Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Madyson Frazee is a midfielder from Washington, PA (Trinity High School) and Coach Wolford says "Madyson is an extremely hard worker, loves lacrosse, and is always eager to learn & get better. We are so excited to coach such a special player and person for the next four years!"

The second member of the 2025 class is attacker, Grace Hehman. Hehman is a graduate of Seton High School out of Cincinnati, OH and Wolford says "Grace is a talented attacker who can put the ball in the back of the net as well as set her teammates up. She is a true student of the game and is always wanting to take her game to the next level. We are very excited to get to coach such a kind and dedicated player."

Coming in at goal is Columbus, OH native (Bishop Hartley High School) Sidney Sheridan. Wolford is excited about the talent that Sheridan brings to the table and says "Sidney is a talented goalie who can come up with big saves when games are on the line. Her vision and ability to clear the ball sets her apart. We can't wait to start coaching such a hardworking & all-around good person."

Joining Sheridan in the goal position is Gabrielle "George" Weckerly. Weckerly is a graduate of Delaware Hayes High School out of Delaware, OH. Wolford says "Gabrielle is a smart goalie with great vision and clearing ability. She makes big plays and has a great attitude. Can't wait to see what she accomplishes over the next four years!"

Wolford is completing her incoming lineup with a midfielder from Hilliard, OH. Heather Symmes is a 2020 graduate of Hilliard Davison High School and Wolford says "We couldn't be more excited for Heather to be joining our tiger family. Heather is a versatile & competitive player. We are looking forward to seeing all her successes on and off the field over the next 4 years."

Along with the incoming class, the Tigers will be returning fourteen of the sixteen Tigers from last year after graduating Abby Sammons and Shannon Brown. The returners include season leaders Jessica Flick and Katie Wadds who had a total of 16 goals, 18 points, 38 draw controls and 19 caused turnovers.
