ADRIAN, Mich. - The Wittenberg Tigers, the top-scoring team in all of NCAA Division III a year ago, has picked up right where they left off in 2014. For the third time in four games in 2015, Wittenberg dominated an opponent with an offensive barrage, this time racing past host Adrian 21-2.

The win moved the Tigers to 3-1 on the season, with the only blemish being a 23-13 loss at Colorado College on March 11. Wittenberg now turns its attention to a challenging 10-day stretch, including North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) games against Kenyon and Denison and a home date on March 31 against Mount Union.

Wittenberg scored just 19 seconds into the game and by halftime, the Tigers held a commanding 12-1 advantage. Wittenberg scored the first four goals of the second half as well and put it in cruise control from there.

The final shot count was a whopping 40-5 in favor of the Tigers. Wittenberg dominated possession, thanks to winning 19 out of 25 draw controls and forcing 25 Adrian turnovers, leading to a paltry 8-of-21 success rate for the Bulldogs on clears.

Individually, Wittenberg was paced by senior Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) with six goals and one assist. Her career totals now stand at 160 goals - 12 short of the school record - and 210 points - seven shy of the top spot in the school's record book.

She had plenty of help on offense as senior Megan Loofbourrow (Prospect, Ky./Ballard) and junior Olivia Lash (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) added four goals apiece, senior Beth Hubbard (West Hartford, Conn./Notre Dame de Sion) chipped in with three goals, freshman Victoria Zysik (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) and sophomore Becca Joseph (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula) finished with matching stat lines of two goals and one assist, and junior Carrie Kubasta (Medina, Ohio/Medina) dished out a pair of assists.

Warye was tops in ground balls with seven, followed by Kubasta with six, and Lash and Loofbourrow with five each. Warye added seven draw controls and Loofbourrow contributed five, while Kubasta led in caused turnovers with five, followed by Warye with four.

In goal, sophomore Katie Reuter (Cleveland, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) made two saves in the game.
