PUEBLO, Colo. - The Wittenberg Tigers crashed the party for Colorado State-Pueblo, which was playing its first-ever home game in women's lacrosse, scoring the first nine goals en route to a 17-6 victory.

The win evened the Tigers' record on their Spring Break trip to Colorado at 1-1, coming on the heels of a loss at Colorado College two days earlier. Wittenberg heads back home sporting an overall 2-1 record.

The Tigers scored just 30 seconds into the game and never looked back, building a 9-0 lead through the first 12:14 before taking a 12-1 lead into the locker room at halftime. The two teams then split 10 goals evenly over the final 20 minutes as Wittenberg secured the victory while substituting liberally.

Wittenberg held a 30-15 advantage in shots in the game, in addition to an 18-16 edge in ground balls and a 15-9 lead in draw controls. CSU-Pueblo nearly doubled up on the Tigers in fouls at 25-13.

Individually, Wittenberg was paced by senior Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) with four goals, one assist, three ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers. Warye now has 203 career points, putting her just 14 points short of the school record, and she has 154 career goals, just 18 short of the school record.
