Logan Warye Racks Up Second Straight All-Great Lakes Region Award

Springfield, Ohio – After leading the Wittenberg University women’s lacrosse team to its fourth straight undefeated North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season and second consecutive league title, senior midfielder Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) has earned Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Great Lakes Region honors. 

Warye was named first-team all-region for a second straight season after leading the Tigers with 67 goals and ranking second with 80 points in 2015. She also led Wittenberg with 57 ground balls, 81 draw controls and 41 caused turnovers. 

Warye earned her third straight first-team All-NCAC award and added NCAC Offensive Player of the Year honors as well in 2015. It was also the third year in a row that Warye tied or broke the school record for goals in a season, and it was the second straight year that she led the league in goals. Warye also topped the conference in caused turnovers. 

For her career, Warye stands atop school record lists with 211 goals and 272 total points. In addition, she ranks fourth with 61 career assists, and her 81 draw controls ranks second in Wittenberg history and her 41 caused turnovers broke the record she set in the 2014 season. 

Wittenberg compiled records of 49-16 overall and 30-0 in the NCAC regular season during Warye’s illustrious collegiate career. In 2015, the Tigers posted records of 11-4 overall and 8-0 in the league.
