HIRAM, Ohio – It was a day of perfection for Wittenberg women's lacrosse as the Tigers recorded the fourth shutout in program history with a 19-0 whitewashing of first-year program Hiram.

The win extended Wittenberg's North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season winning streak to 11, dating back to the end of the 2011 season. The Tigers remained atop the 2013 NCAC standings at 5-0, with games against DePauw, Denison and Oberlin left on the schedule after Sunday's Senior Recognition Day match-up against Thiel.

Overall, Wittenberg is 8-3 on the season, while Hiram fell to 3-7 overall and 0-3 in the NCAC.

The Tigers scored less than 30 seconds into the game and cruised from that point as 18 different players saw extensive action. In goal, the tandem of senior Katie Bondy (Westerville, Ohio/South) and Katie Reuter (Cleveland, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) combined on the shutout as Hiram managed just one shot on frame.

Offensively, sophomore Beth Hubbard (West Hartford, Conn./Notre Dame de Sion (Mo.)) showed the way for the Tigers with five goals. Junior Francine Murzynski (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) and senior Erin Guiliano (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) added matching stat lines of three goals and two assists, while senior Kellen Morrissey (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) contributed two goals and two assists and junior Alie Marousek (Ballston Lake, NY/Portsmouth (NH)) chipped in with one goal and a game-high three assists.

Morrissey and sophomore Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) shared team honors with four draw controls each and sophomore Mary Ann White (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral), senior Katie Warner (Delaware, Ohio/Olentangy) and senior Elyssa Silva (Golden, Colo./Golden) led with three caused turnovers apiece.
