OWINGS MILLS, Md. – A halftime lead evaporated over the course of the final 30 minutes as the Wittenberg Tigers dropped a hard-fought 13-10 decision to host Stevenson.

Wittenberg fell to 2-2 on the season despite taking a 5-3 lead into the intermission. Stevenson, which improved to 6-1, rallied with 10 goals in the second half to secure the victory.

Junior Francine Murzynski (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) turned in her customarily strong game, tallying four goals and an assist to go along with three draw controls. The other Tiger to turn in a big offensive total was sophomore Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings), who found the back of the net three times.

Wittenberg's other three goals were scored by sophomore Megan Loofbourrow (Prospect, Ky./Ballard), senior Kellen Morrissey (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) and sophomore Kim Loofbourrow (Prospect, Ky./Ballard). Morrissey also paced the Tigers in draw controls with five, in addition to a team-best three ground balls.

Senior Katie Warner (Delaware, Ohio/Olentangy) and junior Alex Dressman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline) each added two ground balls in front of senior goalkeeper Katie Bondy (Westerville, Ohio/South), who finished with 13 saves.

The road trip continues Sunday with a game at Washington & Jefferson. First draw is scheduled for 2 p.m.
