Wittenberg Loses At St. Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. - Eight different Wittenberg Tigers found their way into the scoring column, but the offensively balance was not enough as the Tigers dropped a 15-11 decision at St. Vincent College. 

Wittenberg is now 2-10 overall, heading into the final weekend of the season and two games at Allegheny College. On Saturday, Wittenberg will face the Gators in the North Coast Athletic Conference finale for both teams, and then on Sunday, the Tigers will play Alfred College, also at Allegheny. St. Vincent improved to 6-4 on the campaign.

Sophomore Lizzie Amorello (Sutton, Mass./Worcester Academy) led the Tigers with three goals in the game, while sophomoreMegan Meige (Columbus, Ohio/DeSales) added two of her own. Senior Lauren Bouton (Roswell, Ga./Roswell) added an assist.

In goal, freshman Bonnie Kenney (Lutherville, Md./Park School) and junior Sarah Zane (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) split 10 saves almost evenly in one half of action each. Kenney was credited with six saves and nine goals allowed, while Zane picked up four saves and allowed six goals.
