FRANKLIN, Ind. — Sophomore Hillary Humbaugh (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern) sat tied atop the individual leaderboard as the Wittenberg women's golf team closed Day 1 of the Franklin Lady Grizzly Spring Invitational in third place of nine teams on Saturday.

The Basics

• Venue: The Legends Golf Club - Franklin, Ind., Par 72, Yardage: 5,617
• Franklin College is serving as the host school for the tournament.
• Joining Wittenberg in the nine-team field are Anderson, Franklin, Hanover, Mount St. Joseph, Transylvania, Bluffton, Spalding and Rose-Hulman. Rose-Hulman received votes in the latest NCAA Division III Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll, which was released April 12.

The Tournament

• Wittenberg shot a 56-over-par 344 on in Saturday's opening round to sit in third place behind Rose-Hulman (39-over-par) and Mount St. Joseph (50-over-par).
• Humbaugh shot an 8-over-par 80 and is tied for first place with Rose-Hulman's Precious Saelee after one round of play. They are one shot ahead of a two-way tie for third place in the 57-woman field.
• Junior Halley McNair (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) is tied for 14th with a 13-over-par 85.
• Senior Ellen Frame (Mason, Ohio/Mason) is tied for 18th with a 15-over-par 87.
• Freshman Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, Ohio/Mechanicsburg) is 32nd with a 20-over-par 92.
• Sophomore Izzy Selby (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) is tied for 42nd with a 25-over-par 97.
