Tigers Back To Winning Ways After Long Break

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg University women's golf team returned to action this past weekend, first traveling to Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon for a dual match from Oakhaven Golf Club. The Red and White made their home debut on Sunday from their home track at the Springfield Country Club, hosting the Battling Bishops and the College of Wooster Fighting Scots. Wittenberg picked up two wins on the weekend, edging out Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday shooting a 364 (+76) as the Battling Bishops carded a 369 (+81). The Tigers commanded the field on Sunday at their home course, posting the 343 (+55) low score of the day. The College of Wooster tallied a 368 (+80) with Ohio Wesleyan carding a 382 (+94).  

Erin Adams led the pack on Saturday afternoon carding a 76 (+4), six strokes ahead of the second-place finisher. Ellen Frame earned a fourth-place finish in her collegiate debut, posting a 93 (+21) on the day. Jordan Jarrett was close, tallying a 95 (+23) to open the season. Morgan Pagel wrapped up her collegiate with an even 100 (+28).

Frame, set the standard on Sunday, posting the low score of 81 (+9) on Sunday. Adams was on her heels, carding an 82 (+10) for her second round of the season. Jarrett earned at T-3 finish, posting an 18-hole score of 86 (+14). Pagel closed out her weekend with a top 10 finish on Sunday, posting a 94 (+22).

Wittenberg will return to action the weekend of March 27-28, traveling to Denison University on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers will return to Springfield Country Club on Sunday to host the Big Red.
