Danville, Indiana – The Wittenberg Women's Golf team finished seventh overall in the final team standings over the weekend at DePauw University's Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic, which was played at the par-72, 5,814-yard Twin Bridges Golf Clun in central Indiana.
The Tigers opened play on Saturday with a team score of 365 and were able to reduce that number by six strokes on Sunday to finish the two-day event with a 36-hole score of 724 (365-359). Conference foe Denison took home the team title at the event with a two-day tally of 622 (309-313).
Two of the Tigers' top-four players finished in the top-25 of the individual standings in the 43-golfer field, led by junior Erin Adams who tied for 19th with Centre's Jennaly Nolan with a 36-hole score of 169 (87-82). Senior Megan Selby was one of five different players to tie for 24th in the individual standings after she carded a two-day score of 171 (84-87).
In addition, junior Jordan Jarrett tied for 33rd with Illinois Wesleyan's Jenna DeMay with 177 strokes (90-87), while freshman Elizabeth Uhl finished 43rd overall with a 207 (104-103).
The Tigers will be back in action next weekend, competing at Mt. St. Joseph's Rumble at Rising Star at the Links at Rising Star in Rising Sun, Indiana.
