Normal, Illinois – The Wittenberg Women's Golf team posted yet another top-five finish at the weather-shortened Illinois Wesleyan University Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, played at the par-72, 5,805-yard Ironwood G.C. in Illinois. The Tigers shared the fifth spot in the final standings with NCAC foe DePauw as both squads posted a team score of 316 to finish fourth overall out of 17 total teams. Grinnell College was crowned the team champion of the 18-hole event with a 309. 

The Tigers had a pair of golfers finish as part of an eight-way tie for fifth in the final individual standings with 18-hole scores of 76, including senior Devon Atchison and junior Madi Wolters. DePauw's Larisa Luloff and IWU's Jordan Koehler shared the medalist award at the 18-hole event with one-over par scores of 73.

In addition to Atchison and Wolters, sophomore Erin Adams shared the 13th spot with five other golfers after carding a 77, while senior Matison Leand tied for 68th with an 87 and junior Megan Selby tied for 78th with a 90. 

The Tigers will now be off for two weeks, before returning to the course on the first weekend of May (3-5) for the 2019 NCAC Championships at the Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.
