Women's Golf Finds Success in Florida

Destin, Fla. – Junior Matison Leand found a six-place improvement between rounds to finish 22nd overall for the Tiger women, chipping into the team's 12th place finish at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational. Wittenberg matched up against 17 other Division III institutions from across the country, leaving the greens satisfied with round finishes of 325, 317 and 321 for a combined score of 963. The women's golf squad wrapped up their fall season at the Baytowne Golf Club in Florida.

 

Leand led the Tigers through three rounds of action on the greens, shooting 78-82-78 overthe course of the tournament for a score of 238. Teammates Devon AtchisonErin Adams and Madi Wolters  followed close behind, rounding out 241, 242 and 243 respectively to close the gap. Adams boasted a 16-place improvement by the time she made her last putt after marking 84-82-76 through three rounds. Kelli Fisher placed in the five-slot for the Tigers with her score of 260 overall.
