Women's Golf Claims Pat Clouse Invitational Title

Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg women's golf team hosted their annual Pat Clouse Invitational from the Springfield Country Club. Welcoming in an array of regional talent, the Tigers hosted a six-team field, which consisted of Franklin College, Hanover College, Otterbein University, Rose-Hulman University and NCAC foe Denison University. Wittenberg would take both the team and the individual win over the weekend. The Tigers finished with a final two-day score of 627 (+51) over the par-72 5,8000-yard course. Madi Wolters would lock up the individual win on the weekend, posting a 73 over the first day and following up with a 76 on day two, finishing with a 149 (+5) total.

 

Devon Atchison finished in a tie for third-place, shooting 153 over the two-day event. Atchison logged a 76 through the first round, while posting a 77 in her return to action on the second. Matison Leand would finish in seventh-place, coming in at 158 (+14) over two days. Leand would drop her score over the two days of competition, starting out with an 81 and finishing off the event with a 77. Erin Adams would shoot two consistent days out on the course, logging an 80 and 81 in back-to-back rounds. Adams would finish in a tie for ninth, shooting 161 (+17).  Kelli Fisher would round out the top Tiger finishers, posting a 167 (+23) with a 15th place finish.
