Tigers in the Hunt after Day One of NCAA National Championship

HOUSTON, Texas—Wittenberg women's golf put together a team score of 314 in the opening round of the NCAA Division III National Championship and currently sit in seventh place on the team leaderboard.

Macy Hubbard led the Tigers on day one with a three-over 75, as the senior's opening round places the two-time National Runner-Up in ninth place individually. Jane Hopkinson-Wood helped keep the Tigers in the hunt with a five-over 77, good enough for 17th place individually. Brianna Yee rounded out the top finishes for Wittenberg, carding a seven-over 79 on the day.

Amherst and Texas-Tyler are currently tied for fifth place with a score of 313, as the rest of the leaderboard shapes up with Carleton College in fourth (311), Williams College and George Fox (303) tied for second and Rhodes College (301) in first.
