STREETSBORO, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put together a dominating two-day performance at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championship Series #1, turning in the top score in both rounds en route to a 31-stroke victory.

Wittenberg carded rounds of 310 and 308 for a total of 618 on the par-72, 5,806-yard course at Boulder Creek Golf Club to run away from DePauw, which posted a two-day total of 649 to stand second in the seven-team standings. Denison rounds out the top three with a two-day total of 680.

The scores from the NCAC Championship Series #1 carry over to the NCAC Championship #2, scheduled for April 30-May 1 at Wooster Country Club. Wittenberg is the defending NCAC champion, and the Tigers are the heavy favorite to repeat.

The Tigers took five of the top 12 spots in the final individual standings. The 32-player field was paced by sophomore Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School), who earned medalist honors with rounds of 77 and 73 to finish with a 150.

That score was one better than senior Maggie Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore), who carded rounds of 71 and 80. Junior Macy Hubbard (Mason, Ohio/Mason) was next for Wittenberg with a two-round total of 156, followed by freshman Chloe Bradburn (Gahanna, Ohio/Columbus Academy) in sixth with a 161, and sophomore Brianna Yee (Las Vegas, Nev./Faith Lutheran) in 12th with a 170.
