Wabash, Ind. - A 2007-08 season filled with breakthroughs and firsts continued with a first-place finish in the Manchester Invitational. It was the Tigers' first team title since the women's golf program was elevated to varsity status in 2003.

The Tigers posted a team score of 376, good for a six-shot advantage over host Manchester. While the team finished in the top spot, junior Jennifer Petro (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart) just missed out on the individual title, finishing with an 86, good for second place.

Freshman Anna Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge) added a 90, good for fifth place. Sophomore Kimberleigh McClure (Dublin, Ohio/Scioto)finished 10th with a 99 and sophomore Kristina Herman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) rounded out the Tiger scorers with a 101, good for 11th place.

The Tigers have little time to celebrate their win as they return to action Sunday at Wilmington.
