Women's Bowling Places Sixth At Hammer Saints Classic

Rose Wanjema finished 25th at the Hammer Saints Classic.

Newport, KY - The Wittenberg women's bowling team took sixth place against a strong field in the Hammer Saints Classic hosted by Thomas More University in Newport, Kentucky. The Tigers finished with a total of 5817.

Wittenberg has one more event ahead in the month of February. The Tigers will compete in the fifth and final Ohio Bowling Classic event of the 2023-24 school year at Columbus Square Bowling Palace on Saturday, February 17.

Individually, the Tigers stacked up like this:

  • Chloe Steiner (Troy, OH / Sidney Lehman Catholic) finished 16th with a total of 676 for an average of 169;
  • Rose Wanjema (Columbus, OH / South) finished 25th with a total of 630 for an average of 157.5;
  • Shannon Csordos (South Plainfield, NJ / South Plainfield) finished 31st with a total of 586 for an average of 146.5;
  • Michele Starner (Delaware, OH / Olentangy Berlin) finished 32nd with a total of 585 for an average of 146.3;
  • Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg) finished 34th with a total of 563 for an average of 140.8.
