Gambier, Ohio - As it has been throughout the 2023-24 season, balance was the key for Wittenberg women's basketball as the Tigers overcame a sluggish start to run away from host Kenyon, 71-46.

With the win, Wittenberg improved to 14-4 overall and 7-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). The Tigers, who have won five straight games, remain one-half game behind league-leading DePauw and one game ahead of Denison and Ohio Wesleyan in the NCAC standings. Kenyon fell to 3-17 overall and 1-8 in the NCAC.

Eleven different Tigers scored in the game, led by McKenna Baker (Brownsburg, IN / Bethesda Christian) with 12 points in just 16 minutes of action. The only other player to reach double figures was Jazmyn Gaines-Burns (Bladensburg, MD / Elizabeth Seton), who finished with 10 points.

They had plenty of support at the offensive end as the Tigers spread the wealth. Karley Moore (Tipp City, Ohio / Bethel) added a career-high nine points, and a trio of players contributed eight points apiece, Taryn Cash (Cincinnati, Ohio / Princeton), Madi Barnett (Cincinnati, OH / Kings), and Kelsey Ragan (Whitehouse, OH / Anthony Wayne). On the boards, Jade Simpson (Edgewood, KY / Holy Cross) led both teams with 11 rebounds as Wittenberg held a commanding 45-30 advantage.
