Tigers Fight of Muskingum at Home

Springfield, OH- The Tigers returned to Pam Evans Smith Arena to take on the Fighting Muskies of Muskingum University. Coming off of two losses the Red & White looked to tab a win heading into the Wittenberg Holiday Classic which will be held starting December 20th for the women. After four quarters of play the Tigers were able to pick up a 77-60 win over the Fighting Muskies and improve to a 5-3 overall record on the season.

The Tigers shot 53.6% from the field, 40.0% in three points, and 64.7% from the line. Wittenberg was able to put 77 points on the board being led by guard, Jazmyn Gaines-Burns with 21 points on the night, four rebounds, and four assists. Leading defensively was forward, Jade Simpson with 15 rebounds on the night, nine of those being defensive and three blocks. Simpson also pushed Wittenberg's offense with 20 points on the night.

Wittenberg was able to land 20 points in the first quarter and 21 points in the second to head into halftime with 41 points on the board and a nine-point lead. The Red & White were able to stay ahead in the third quarter with 22 points and 14 in the fourth.
