Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg women's basketball tigers were clicking on all cylinders, as the Tigers defeated the College of Wooster Fighting Scots, 69-51. Wittenberg was led by Kristie Kalis, tallying 28 points, knocking down 11 of 24 from the floor, including 6 of 11 from beyond the arc. Kalis eclipsed the 1,000-point scoring mark, heading into the game sitting at 986, the senior forward tallied 23 first-half points. Abigail Yunker made her own place in the Tiger record book, tying Wittenberg's single-game assist mark with 11. Yunker would finish with six points, knocking down 3 of 8 from the floor. Freshmen trio Evie Wolshire, Jade Simpson, and Kylee Slone coming off the bench tallied double figures on the evening for the Red and White. Wolshire recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, adding four blocked shots. Simpson provided 10 points and six rebounds, including four boards on the defensive end. Slone knocked down 5 of 7 from the floor, providing 11 points off the bench, adding three rebounds.
